Billing Blowup
No sooner had Treasurer Scott Bardell sent out the member billings for 2nd quarter than alert member (and golf tournament organizer) Bob Olsen noticed that he had not been billed for items purchased in connection with the event that he had charged to his account. He contacted the guilty party (secretary Bob Tholkes), who immediately realized that very few golf tourney-related charges had been billed. Scott has generously consented to issue updated billings to the members involved, and Bob T. apologizes for the problem. If you charged anything at the tourney to your account (or think you may have), please wait for the updated billing before paying your second quarter bill.

08.30.2017 5:01 Meeting
20 members, ex-members Casey Mahon and Mary Kay Delvo, and a number of guests appeared the club's initial "5:01" gathering at Crooner's on Wednesday the 30th, and enjoyed appetizers and conversation. A skeletal program saw President Wysopal issue door prizes to those who had invited guests and to "5:01" organizer Scott Lund.

12 members arrived in time to sit in on the 4:00 Literacy Committee meeting. The committee decided to continue the Dictionary Project, which hands out dictionary/almanac books to 3rd graders in the club's service area. A decision was also made to increase the program's effectiveness by "branding" the books with club information and better organizing the school presentations to provide a consistent message to the students.

Finally, there was an article written on Pascal in the Sun Focus.
