PROGRAM

18 members heard senior member Gordon Backlund closed a series of classification talks by senior members acquainting their junior fellows with their backgrounds by reviewing a lifetime of learning and ceaseless activity: civic leadership, entrepreneurship, academic and career achievement, and a kaleidoscopic range of personal interests from marathoning to ocean sailing to music to travel, all orbiting a stable family life, and in which an extraordinary run of 27 years of as our club secretary (and an unmentioned continuing record of 30-odd years of perfect attendance) dwindles to a footnote.
