CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thanks to Eric Wasser and Sarie Cudahy for staffing an informational table at last week’s Columbia Heights Arts and Information Fair.

President Paul Nealy inducted Matt Laue, a Rotoract member in his youth. Membership is 24.

The club board approved $1700 for another round of our literacy program, which last year started classroom reference libraries for 3rd grade classrooms in Fridley and Columbia Heights. We need someone to oversee the process: to contact in September the school curriculum officials who last year met with 3rd grade teachers to find out what reference materials would be appropriate and once more obtain their cooperation.

The club board approved $500 to restock our trading banners – would someone like to do a redesign?

The present dearth of scheduled service activities will be relieved by food distribution aid at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 755 73rd Ave NE, Fridley, on Friday, September 11, from 4-8 pm. Signup sheet next week.
