PROGRAM
 
15 members heard Rachel James of First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights detail her involvement and that of parishioners and other community members in mitigating the effects of the surge in Immigrations and Customs enforcement in Columbia Heights last winter.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Members attending today were asked to suggest three dates for invitations during the upcoming Rotary year to the incoming District Governor and his two nominated successors. Dates with service or fundraising activities or participation in community events are recommended.
 
The last STRIVE field trip, to Hennepin Tech and the Law Enforcement Center took place last Wednesday, May 7.Ten STRIVE awards were handed out at last week’s Columbia Heights scholarship night.

The annual Golf Classic fundraiser is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, at The Refuge, 21250 Yellow Pine St NW, Oak Grove.
 
The Rotary billing invoices for the quarter ending March 31 was issued last week. Treasurer Rottler is available by phone for online dues payments. Contact him at 763-670-4259. Payments can also be turned in at meetings or mailed to FCH Rotary, 3966 Reservoir Blvd., Columbia Heights 55421.
 
Rotary International announced that the May 27-28, 2028 RI convention will be held in Minneapolis. It will be organized cooperatively by Districts 5580, 5950, 5960, and 6250.
