17 members, including 12 preferring Zoom to in-person attendance in the wake of an overnight snowstorm, had the opportunity to commemorate Veterans' Day by watching the Minnesota Department of Veterans' Affairs' 2020 virtual celebration of the day. Speaking for Mark Grotewold, Bob Tholkes announced that the next opportunity to deliver groceries for SACA is scheduled for Saturday, November 21. Sign up at SACA_DELIVERS_NOVEMBER_2020. If you will be driving, provide your insurance card and driver’s license for SACA to copy for its records.
Kim Hiel forwarded the booklet of student thank-you letters written by the class of Fridley 3rd-grade teacher Mrs. Reynolds for the dictionaries provided this year. Much appreciated!
The club extends a get well wish to Vicki Klaers, member Steve’s spouse, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week and has mild symptoms. Steve tested negative, and is quarantining.
Klaers reported that the STRIVE meeting at Fridley will take place today.
REMINDER
President Kelli Bourgeois reminded that the club will meet only on the first and third Wednesdays of the months from December through March. There will be further reminders.
