 PROGRAM

19 members, including 5 on Zoom, heard new member “Magic Brad” Gudim leave the rabbit in the hat and instead describe his almost lifelong (“I wasted the first five years of my life”) efforts, interrupted only briefly as a young adult for employment in drafting, to weave his talents in magic and marketing into a solid career as an entrepreneur. He described his formula for success as the devising of strategies for promotion with an emphasis on collaboration with organizations, both profit and non-profit, in the achievement of mutual goals, a process he now pursues primarily on the internet. Rotary attracted Brad for its community-based ethic of service.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Steve Klaers announced that the first STRIVE get-together with Columbia Heights High School students, which took place last week, was successful. About 17 students are enrolled. Member Kristen Stuenkel also attended. New member “Magic Brad” Gudim has signed on as a mentor. Mentors will be sought for Columbia Heights, which at present lacks a mentor program.

REMINDERS

Bellringing at Sam’s Club  in Fridley for the Salvation Army will take place on Dec. 1, 8, and 15. Bellringing slots at present are filled.
