PROGRAM
 
19 members, including 3 on Zoom, heard club president Don Archibeque, using a Power Point presentation, review the club activities during the current year to date, thank club members who have made substantial contributions, and outline goals for the half-year to come. Treasurer Greg Schraufnagel provided a review of the club’s financial structure and status. Wally Wysopal provided information on the club’s 501c3 affiliate, the Healthy Youth Foundation, and past president Brian Weierke supplied an update of the school safety project at Fridley Public Schools.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Steve Klaers noted that a mentor-student meeting occurs tomorrow at Fridley High School. Members are welcome to observe.
 
The club will not meet on December 22 due to the holiday. The club will meet on December 29.
 
REMINDERS
 
Bellringing at Sam’s Club in Fridley for the Salvation Army will conclude today at Sam’s Club in Fridley. Bellringing slots at present are filled, but members are welcome to add themselves to the service. Contact Gordon Backlund if interested at 763-574-0369.
 
Rotary Youth Exchange: a member is needed to become Youth Exchange Officer. The board has voted to participate in the program, which expects to resume for the 2022-23 Rotary year. Recruitment of host families must be accomplished during the current school year. Contact Bob Tholkes at 763-913-4453 if interested.
 
Program on December 29: Justin Navratil, public health professional at Anoka County, will speak about the status of the COVID pandemic in the county.
