20 members, including 8 Zoomers, and prospective member Halimo Ismail of Columbia Heights participated in a reverse "classification talk" whereby, for the benefit of new member Ed Higgins of Columbia Heights, each member talked briefly about themselves and their motivation for being Rotarians. As a first-time event, the format was also useful for other recently-enrolled members.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Mark Grotewold noted that, between Rotarians and other groups, all shifts are filled this Saturday for "SACA Delivers", the local food shelf's grocery delivery program for shut-ins. FCH Rotary began monthly participation in the program in August.
 
Scott Lund passed a sign-up sheet for the Charter Dinner on Wednesday, November 4, at Banquets of Minnesota in Fridley. More attendees are needed for the event to break even.
 
President Kelli Bourgeois noted that she has had to order the club's laptop purchase online due to a shortage of in-store supplies.
 
Steve Klaers reported on progress toward commencing the STRIVE program for this year in the face of hybrid learning plans at the schools.
