PROGRAM
12 members and 8 guests attended the Charter Dinner social event organized by Social Committee Scott Lund on the evening of November 15 at Banquets of Minnesota in Fridley, which again featured the District 5960 District Governor, Patricia McCleese of Rochester, who commented on the club's marking of the 60th anniversary of its charter, commended its community service activities, and provided an eloquent explanation of her theme as 2023-24 District Governor, "Make Peace Visible."

Two hundred Student Dictionaries were handed out to 3rd graders at Fridley elementary schools last Wednesday, November 8, and 220 to Columbia Heights 3rd graders on Wednesday, November 15. Thanks to members Gordon Backlund, Tim Blank (the coordinator), Josh Callahan, Vern Hoium, Stephen Keeler, Steve Klaers, Brenda Lewis, Amáda Márquez Simula, Paul Nealy, Mike Oakley, and Bob Tholkes for participating.
REMINDERS
Road Trip! The breakfast meeting of Wednesday, December 6 will shift to the new Columbia Heights City Hall, 3989 Central Avenue, and will feature a presentation on the recent Sister Cities trip to Poland by member (and Columbia Heights Mayor) Amáda Márquez Simula and Veronica Johnson.
Bellringing for the Salvation Army, on Wednesday, November 29, Wednesday December 6, and Wednesday, December 13 at 4-7 p.m. at Sam's Club, 8150 University Avenue, Fridley. Sign up for 90-minute shifts with Gordon at 612-296-0375.
One STRIVE program field trip is set: The St. Cloud Field trip is scheduled for Thursday, January 11.
The Operation Pollination program for 2023 has been concluded, and will resume meeting in January 2024.
