Meeting at Mississippi Watershed Management Organization in northeast Minneapolis, 12 members heard MWMO Program Director Nancy Stowe describe a current water quality improvement project at Sullivan Lake in Columbia Heights and a project for reducing flooding in the Sylvan Park area of Fridley. A brief tour of building exhibits and its environs followed.

10 members and 22 invited guests, including members of nearby Rotary clubs, were entertained on the evening of April 29 by the Gangster Tour of St. Paul, a two-hour bus ride around town while their costumed narrator pointed out a series of locations where 1930s gangsters lived worry-free. The tour also pointed other historic St. Paul locations.
