The 2019 Charter Dinner celebrating the club's 56 years of service to its communities was marked by Weierke's program recognizing the club's serving club officers and its  Rotary Foundation contributors. The Foiundation credits the club with $248,000 in contributions. Senior member Gordon Backlund reviewed the highlights of the club's history.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The club’s fall service project will be food-sorting for the SACA food shelf, 627 38th Avenue, Columbia Heights, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14.
 
District 5960 Rotarians are invited to help staff a Rotary table at the Hmong New Year celebration at River Centre in St. Paul on Dec. 31-Jan. 1. To participate contact Jonah Yang of St. Paul Rotary at jonahyang@executiveprotectiongroup.net.
 
The District 5960 Midterm and Social will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 11 at Anderson Center, Hamline University, 774 Snelling Ave. N, St. Paul.
 
The club has purchased a table for 8 at the Fridley Schools Foundation Gala on January 30 at Jax Café. Contact Bob Tholkes at rjtholkes@gmail.com if you wish to attend at the club’s table. Two spots remain.
 
President Brian Weierke presented at the Charter Dinner information about and images of the school safety signs which he will propose for funding by the club in the near future.

District 5960 Foundation Committee is sponsoring a breakfast meeting with former RI president Ian Riseley on Friday, November 15, at Delta Hotels by Marriott, 1330 Industrial Blvd NE in Minneapolis from 7:15 to 9:00 a.m. Tickets for the breakfast are $25.
 
District 5960 is sponsoring a Tap Room Tour with former TRF Trustee Mary Beth Growney Selene on Thursday, November 21, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at Summit Brewing, 910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul.
