12 members heard visiting Rotarian Jeff Hollimon of New Brighton-Moundsview Rotary describe ECHO, a Florida-based training program for farmers in developing countries. NBMV Rotary has been involved with ECHO for several years, raising funds for its programs. The club board had responded to NBMV's request for grant assistance by asking that a speaker be provided.
Chris Mickman of the Fridley 49er Days committee also spoke, thanking the club for past support, reviewing the 2019 festival, and describing plans for 2020.

August 30 is Rotary Blitz day at the Minnesota State Fair. All three Minnesota districts are participating. Wear your Rotary gear and meet Rotarians from all over the state!
The club Charter Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 6. Details TBA. No meeting on that date.
