PROGRAM 17 members, prospective member Dr. Richard Garcia of Fridley, and guests Ed Hamernik of Fridley and Marcia Hamernik Oltrogge of Colorado Springs, CO heard 1980 Fridley Rotary foreign exchange student Jouni Niemi of Finland, visiting the club while in town for a professional conference, speak about his time as a foreign exchange student (the Hamerniks were one of his host families), the effect it had on his life, and about his family and his professional interests—he is a veterinarian and operates both clinics and a supply company. Mr. Niemi was presented with a club banner, and presented the club with a decorative textile.
