PROGRAM
 
16 members, including 3 on Zoom, heard Kari Kearns and Mary Bunnell of the Ebenezer Foundation provide information about the Foundation and in particular the Senior Living facility now abuilding at 6455 University Avenue in Fridley, on the former site of Fridley City Hall. Independent living, assisted living, and memory care will all be offered at the 3-story residence, which will have studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom rental apartments. Depending on the unit and services, initial pricing ranges from $1,500 to $5,500 per month.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Rotary District 5960 announced that the spring district conference, Impact!2022, will be a tri-district affair held in St. Cloud on April 21-23. Former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page and Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari, are among the speakers confirmed or invited. Election of FCH Rotary’s Officers and Directors for 2022-23 will take place at the breakfast of January 26.
 
Bob Tholkes announced that the club intends to participate in the Rotary Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) program through District 5960 this year.
 
Tholkes also announced, with thanks, that members Erik Johnston, Stephen Keeler, and Josh Callahan have agreed to join the rotation of members serving as producers of the club's hybrid meetings.
 
Steve Klaers announced that the STRIVE students’ planned visit to Minneapolis College and Augsburg College, also of Minneapolis, on Wednesday, January 19, has been postponed due to COVID concerns.
 
REMINDERS
 
Casey Mahon of Elk River Rotary has notified us that the passenger cart we provided funds to help furnish to Magnus Veterans’ Foundation of 16861 Diamond Lake Rd., Dayton, MN, will be presented today, Feb. 12, at 4 pm; contributing clubs are invited to attend.
