20 members heard Columbia Heights Fire Chief Charlie Thompson describe their duties and outline expected improvements in their operations. Chief Thompson recounted historic fires which led to the adoption of modern fire regulations. Chief Austin disclosed that Heights will add a drone program in 2020 to assist in search and rescue and emergency management operations.
Don Archibeque announced that 2019 holiday-season bellringing raised $560.00 for the Salvation Army.
The next mentors’ meeting with our Fridley STRIVE students takes place on Friday, January 17 at 11:30 at the high school.
