20 members and guest (and potential member) Cleve McCoy of Fridley Park and Recreation participated in a club session about the July 19 Golf Classic, the club's chief fundraiser, led by coordinator Gregg Schraufnagel. Gregg distributed a donor letter to be sent to last year's and new donors. Gregg mentioned that we are halfway to our goal of $25,000 in sponsorships.
49er Days: Bob Olsen passed around next week a sign-up sheet for volunteers to staff the Fun Run on the evening of June 14 and the Wine Tent on June 16. Roy Goslin will again be providing the wine.
President Wally Wysopal reminded the club that the June 20 breakfast will be replaced by an evening wine tasting at Fridley Municipal Liquors. The new leadership transition will take place at the breakfast of June 27.
Because of the Memorial Day holiday, no meeting will be held on May 30.
