INVOCATION
Steve Klaers: COVID-19: A Prayer of Solidarity
For all who have contracted coronavirus, we pray for care and healing.
For those who are particularly vulnerable, we pray for safety and protection.
For all who experience fear or anxiety, we pray for peace of mind and spirit.
For affected families who are facing difficult decisions between food on the table or
public safety, we pray for policies that recognize their plight.
For those who do not have adequate health insurance, we pray that no family will face
financial burdens alone.
For those who are afraid to access care due to immigration status, we pray for
recognition of the God-given dignity of all.
For our brothers and sisters around the world, we pray for shared solidarity.
For public officials and decision-makers, we pray for wisdom and guidance.
Father, during this time may your Church be a sign of hope, comfort and love to all.
           Grant peace,
           Grant comfort.
           Grant healing,
           Be with us, Lord.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Vern Hoium: The biggest lie I tell myself is "I don't need to write that down, I'll remember."

HAPPY FINES

Bob Tholkes- Soldiering on despite the loss of a feature performance at the Roseville Figure Skating Club Ice Show, senior prom, a solo feature at the Irondale Symphonic Orchestra Spring Concert, and trips to Italy with the Irondale band and the Greater Twin Cities Youth symphony, a salute (one of several Happy Fine announcements these past few years) to my older granddaughter Tori.

Craig Malm- My son Eric Malm lives in Omaha working for NEHII (Nebraska Health Information Initiative) and they were asked to take over COVID reporting for the state of NE.  Eric was chosen to take the lead for NEHII, and will be working in Lincoln 3 days week with the Governor’s task force.

Mark Grotewold- I am happy that we signed a new listing today by Hamline University.

Amada Simula- I attended the weekly Friday Feature – The Rotary Foundation and Positive Peace with Kyle Haugen. I also attended the Saturday morning the Grants Management Seminar Training with Kyle Haugen and Margie Horning, and the Tuesday night Global Grant Workshop. This qualifies our club to move forward with signing an MOU and Addendum to the Mou for 2020-2021 Grant Applications. I attended these trainings to learn more about the process, not to write a grant. The deadline for grant applications is May 1.
