23 members, Visiting Rotarian Mike Neeley (New Brighton-Moundsview), and guests Alyssa Kruzel, City of Fridley Community Outreach Coordinator, and Frost Simula, Prospective Member, hear Dr. Jeffrey Herman's very informative presentation on current state of treatment of prostate cancer. 
Following a presentation by Ms. Kruzel, Membership Chair Craig Malm announced that the club will have an information table at the Fridley New Resident Mixer to be held on October 12 at the Fridley Civic Center Plaza from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Secretary Bob Tholkes will staff the table, and a second volunteer is wanted.
The club’s new roll-up portable banner was displayed and will be on hand at the October 12 event.
Past District Governor Mike Becker is seeking nominations for District Governor in 2022-23. Nominations are due by September 27. Contact club president Brian Weierke if you wish to nominate a member.
The club board meets at 9:00 a.m. at Fridley Civic Center on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Members invited.

Explore the power of stories and how we are “Connected by Our Rotary Stories” at this year’s District 5960 One Rotary Summit. To be held Saturday, October 26 at FamilyMeans Center in Stillwater, 1875 Northwestern Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This session is designed for new and experienced Rotarians to come together and share in the discussion about Rotary’s Public Image, Membership, and Foundation opportunities.
The club Charter Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Sunset Grill, 8466 Hwy. 65, Spring Lake Park. Time TBA. No meeting on that date.
