PROGRAM
17 members heard City of Columbia Heights interim Public Works Director David Cullen give an information-rich description of the city's snowplow operations, which he described as up to date in equipment and methods. The city expects that for a 2-to-4 inch snow events all streets can be serviceed within six hours. Issues for the service are driver turnover, weather conditions in which trucks may become stuck in the city's 'tight' streets, and difficulty in promptly filling orders for supplies and equipment.

The club board meets next on Wednesday, October 4, at 9 a.m. at Fridley Community Center.
The District 5960 Conference of Clubs takes place on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14 at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
The annual Charter Dinner social event on Wednesday, November 15 at Banquets of Minnesota in Fridley will again feature the Rotary District Governor. The DG for 2023-24 is Patricia McCleese of Rochester.
