20 members, including 9 on Zoom, and guest Heather Hanson heard member John Niewald, pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fridley, describe Homes of Hope, a mission ministry with which he has been associated for several years, and its work in building homes for the poor in other countries. The ministry recruits volunteers and raises funds. Niewald and Ms. Hanson spoke and showed images of their experience with a volunteer group that built one such house this year in the Tijuana area of Mexico, and of the program’s benefits. For further information, see https://www.ywamhomesofhope.org/

A discussion followed of possible roles for the club in assisting Homes of Hope, including a cash donation, recruitment of volunteers, and initiation of a Rotary global grant.
